Sony | Transfer & Tagging 2.4.1

This application is designed specifically for professional sports and news photographers utilizing Sony cameras, enhancing the efficiency of transferring still images in real-time. Users can deliver images instantly, anywhere and anytime, without the need to access a PC or Mac.

Upon launching the app, users are required to sign in with their Sony Account.

■ Image Transfer Functionality:
By leveraging the camera’s FTP transfer capabilities, users can swiftly transfer still images to compatible smartphones or tablets without compromising their focus while shooting.

• Wireless transfers to smartphones or tablets can be executed in the background during continuous shooting*1.
• Images secured in the camera can also be transferred reliably via a wired connection.

■ Caption and Tagging System:
The app supports fast text input for tags and captions through voice commands and shortcut functions.

• Hands-free captioning is enabled via voice recognition (available only in regions with Google services).
• The app can convert voice memos from images into IPTC metadata seamlessly*2, allowing for text embedding during auto FTP uploads.
• A shortcut feature facilitates the rapid entry of frequently used terms from a Caption Glossary.
• Transfer processes can include automatic assignment of preset tags/captions to streamline data entry, compatible with the IPTC metadata standard*3.
• Users can customize which IPTC metadata items are displayed within the application.

■ Additional Features for Enhanced Delivery:
The application includes multiple presets that optimize delivery workflows.

• Register up to 50 IPTC metadata presets for immediate access based on shooting subjects.
• IPTC metadata presets, caption templates*4, and FTP upload configurations can be managed on the Account Information Page within Creators’ Cloud, with options for cross-device sharing.
• In scenarios lacking Wi-Fi or wired connections, images can still be dispatched using a mobile or carrier line.
• FTP settings configured within the application can be written directly to your camera.

- Compatible with Android 11 to 15.
